The Circle of Life-Pizza!

Three people top my priority list- My Mum, My Darling Husband, and My Little Amelia. But what also tops my list is PIZZA. Pizza is life. Pizza is everything. If I could eat pizza for every meal, every single day I’d be the happiest. MAIN 2

You are the queen of the house and you control the kitchen. So, envision what it’ll feel like making your own pizza, adding all the cheese you want, all the yummy pieces of chicken and other toppings AND there’s nobody to say “Ma’am, any extra topping will cost you more”. Homemade pizza is any day better than the frozen ones or the takeout pizzas. The ingredients are fresh and like I said you have full control over what toppings you want and what crust you want.

I’ve attempted many recipes to get the correct pizza crust, however, this recipe beat the rundown and I’d get a kick out of the chance to impart it to u today. When I say that the present recipe is the best homemade pizza, I’m considering all my pizza encounters. I’m not going to stay here and guarantee that these tastes indistinguishable to the pizza from Italy or that you’ll never taste a superior pizza outside of your kitchen until the end of time. That would be insane!!!! However, I do believe that this pizza is the best you can make in your kitchen, with a standard oven and no fancy ingredients.

With only a couple of ingredients and simple to pursue steps, I trust you get your pizza right and say farewell to the stale take out/ frozen pizzas.MAIN1

The pizza I made was Chicken Tikka Pizza with onions and green chillies as additional toppings. Why green chilli you may wonder? Because that burst of hot, fiery flavor in my mouth helps me remember the pizzas that I would buy in Kuwait from Pizza Hut (Hot stuff chicken pizza- If you want to try).

You can feel free to add any topping of your choice. You can even have one pizza with different toppings for each person in your family if they like it a certain way or are just picky eaters.GRRRR!  (I do that for the pizza’s I make!)

Ingredients

Pizza Crust:

3 cups All-purpose Flour

1 tsp Active Dry Yeast

1 cup Warm Water

3 tbsp Olive OilING

1 tsp Salt

1 tsp Sugar

Chicken Tikka:

500 gms Boneless Chicken

3 tbsp Curds

1/2 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste

2 tsp Red Chilli powder

1 tsp Coriander powder

1/2 tsp Garam Masala powder

2 tsp Lemon juice

1/2 tsp Kasuri methi.

Toppings:

Pizza Sauce

Mozzarella Cheese- Grated

Onions sliced

Green Chilli chopped finely

Black olives chopped

Oregano for seasoning

NOTE:

*Knead the dough well and let it rest well. If you want to refrigerate the dough, rub it with oil and wrap it with cling film.

* You can roll out the dough according to the thickness you like.

*Don’t put too much sauce on the pizza as it could make it soggy.

*You can use leftover chicken as a topping.

*Make sure you buy good quality cheese.

*Brush the edges of the pizza with some butter to avoid dryness

METHOD:

Chicken Tikka:

Marinate chicken with the ingredients mentioned for a minimum of 30 minutes and shallow fry (Do not overcook the chicken as it’ll become dry and rubbery). Cut fried chicken into bite size pieces and keep aside.

 Pizza Crust:

First, combine dry ingredients and then add wet ingredients and knead the dough well till it comes together and leaves the side of the vessel (You can knead it manually or use a stand mixer).

Place the dough in an oiled bowl, and cover with cling film and let it rest for at least 2 hours to let the dough rise and double in size.PIZZA CRUST

Next, place the dough in a floured surface and knead once. Divide the dough into 2-3 portions and let rest for another 30 minutes.

Grease and dust the pizza pan with butter and flour. Place a ball of dough and spread using fingers to form a circle. Poke using a fork.

You can also make stuffed pizza buns with the same dough. Place a few pieces of cheddar cheese, and the leftover chicken in the center and close to form a bun. Top with garlic butter and bake for 10-15 minutes.
